About Azimuth Energy
Solar consulting, without the conflict of interest
Most solar providers are trying to sell you equipment, installation, or both. Azimuth isn't. We're an independent consultancy, which means our recommendations aren't tied to a product line or a construction margin. Our job is to represent your interests, not a supplier's.
That independence is the whole point. Developers, asset owners, and EPCs bring us in when they need a technical partner who is accountable to them, not to a sales target.
Why Azimuth exists
Solar and electrification projects fail in predictable ways: scope gaps between trades, permitting delays, contractors who cut corners on documentation, budgets that don't survive contact with a real site survey.
Azimuth was built to close those gaps. The company draws on direct, hands on experience running solar divisions and delivering commercial and industrial projects across Canada, not just consulting on them from the outside. That operational background is what shapes how we approach every engagement: practical, code compliant, and grounded in what actually gets built, not just what looks good on paper
Trusted from concept to closeout.
We act as an extension of your team, whether that means:
01
Reviewing contractor deliverables before issues become change orders
02
Running feasibility work while it can still change the outcome
03
Managing projects end to end, with one point of accountability
04
Speaking the same technical language as your engineers, permitting authorities, and utilities
Meet Tye
Tye founded Azimuth Energy after years managing solar delivery from the inside, running electrical scopes on projects across Alberta including a 16.5 MW solar installation near Drumheller and rooftop solar rollouts across multiple Calgary schools.
That hands on experience, from DC installation through commissioning, shapes how Azimuth approaches every engagement: practical, code compliant, and grounded in what it actually takes to get a project built.
